CENTRAL LONDON

New Loon Moon, Chinatown - 9a Gerrard St, West End, London W1D 5PN
Chinatown supermarket stocking fresh, frozen and dried foodstuffs from East Asia (my fave because they have a Filipino foods section). Great fresh veg section with herbs, curry leaves, baby eggplant, kaffir limes and fresh banana leaves plus harder-to-find items like banana blossom.

Loon Fung across the road and SeeWoo on Lisle Street nearby are great too.

Al Halal Supermarket, Pimlico - 42 Tachbrook St, Pimlico, London SW1V 2JS
Compact, well-stocked shop with a good frozen section and wide range of spices and pulses. Green pumpkins, fresh turmeric and big bags of garlic.

Small but has all the essentials and good frozen section.

Live seafood (sometimes lobsters). Big frozen section. Any noodle you will ever want.

Fresh fish, seafood, choi and tofu available.
